I attended Sharon's yoga classes for a couple of years while living in the UK. Sharon has extensive knowledge surrounding the anatomy giving her an adept understanding of yoga.
I would definitely recommend booking a private class. This is where I've experienced the most growth in my own practice. It gives Sharon the opportunity to explain the intentions behind the poses and tailor it to your individual needs.
Now, although I'm on the other side of the world, I'm so glad to have her online classes to guide my practice. She ensures I can push myself while also using the best pose for my body and what I want to work on.

How it works :-

All classes are from a trauma informed lens, and are labelled simply Strength & Flexibility ~ Calm ~ Heal this way you can find the class to meet you exactly where you are in the present moment.
​
Strength & Flexibility will be a trauma informed yoga focused movement class, we move through a mindful slow flow to get the body moving, incorporating the 3 Gunas we move with intention from stillness (tamas) to flow (rajas) back to stillness many times to cultivate harmony, together the mind and body work to find balance & harmony (sattva). These classes can be anatomical, as I teach flexibility through strength paying particular attention to anatomy, how a particular muscle engagement feels or the rotation of a particular bone, to learn more about the body, how it works, what it's capable of and a connection to awareness..
Calm will be a trauma informed slow paced class infusing calming classical hatha yoga postures with a gentle element of flow and pranayama breathing techniques bridging the gap between trauma focused and yoga focused classes.
This combination of postures and breath work will remove stagnant energy from the body and mind preparing you for a more yoga focused class whenever you feel ready.
You're encouraged to listen to your body throughout the practice, to look at every pose as a way to make a choice
Heal will be a trauma focused class Meditation, Breath work, Restorative Yoga and Gentle Flow for Healing Trauma, a class designed to empower people to release trapped psychological and physical energies and come back home to their bodies and feel comfortable in their own skin. These gentle, trauma-informed classes guide you through meditative light movement which guides you to explore your body on your own terms, exactly as it is, each posture has been carefully selected with a trauma focus; many common postures have been omitted from this practice.
We ground into sensations of the body, learn anatomy, release aches and pains, relieve stress, gain more body awareness, and create more space in the body that wasn't there before.
